Officers find crack cocaine, cash in Norwich man’s apartment

NORWICH — Police charged a man after they allegedly found more than 12 grams of crack cocaine and $8,000 in cash in his Norwich apartment Thursday, according to the Norwich Police Department.
Police said they received several complaints about suspected drug dealing from a Main Street apartment for the past two months. Investigators identified the suspect as 34-year-old Joshua Winston, the Norwich Police Department said in a press release.
On Thursday, police executed a search and seizure warrant at the apartment and found about 12.8 grams of crack cocaine and more than $8,000 in cash, according to police.
Winston was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Winston was released after he posted his $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court March 31, police said.
